Virgin Australia partners with Sabre, revolutionize airline retailing with SabreMosaicTM

Virgin Australia, one of Australia’s largest airlines, has joined forces with Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR) to modernize its retailing capabilities through the phased rollout of SabreMosaicTM. This is an AI-driven platform designed to transform airline retailing.

As the flagship customer, Virgin Australia will adopt a comprehensive suite of solutions within SabreMosaic, marking a major step in both the airline’s journey towards modern retailing and SabreMosaic’s market introduction.

This partnership highlights both companies’ commitment to innovation and positions Virgin Australia as an industry leader in the transition to offer-and-order-based retailing.

Virgin Australia’s Road to Modern Retailing

The SabreMosaic platform will allow us to optimize offers, enhance customer interactions, and gain a competitive edge in the market.”

SabreMosaic, designed with a modular approach, allows Virgin Australia to operate in a hybrid environment as it transitions to a full Offer and Order ecosystem.

The airline will integrate over 40 products across the retail lifecycle, with implementation of the Offer Management suite—SabreMosaic Air Price IQ™ and SabreMosaic Ancillary IQ™—already underway.

Long-Term Strategic Agreement and Expanded Distribution

As part of the expanded partnership, Virgin Australia and Sabre have extended their existing airline IT and global distribution system (GDS) agreements.

This ensures the continued distribution of Virgin Australia’s traditional content and future New Distribution Capability (NDC) content through Sabre’s global network of travel buyers.

Virgin Australia will also maintain its use of SabreSonic PSS and other Sabre solutions during its transition to the Offer and Order environment.

End-to-End Retailing Solutions with SabreMosaic

The SabreMosaic platform offers a full range of retailing solutions across the travel lifecycle, including Offer, Order, Settle, and Delivery functions.

It enables airlines to create dynamic, personalized offers, streamline transactions, and manage complex travel needs.

Powered by Google’s AI technology, SabreMosaic’s data intelligence toolkit will further enhance decision-making for airlines.
